Are you the enthusiastic (high dimensional) flow cytometry advocate who is eager to share your comprehensive flow knowledge? We have a position available for an experienced flow cytometry user/operator within our facility.

Dit ga je doen

As a flow cytometry operator you work at The Core Flow Cytometry Facility (CFF), which is part of the Center for Translational Immunology (CTI). The CFF provides state-of-the-art flow cytometry equipment, know-how and services.

Besides the shared task of the Core Facility Flow cytometry (CFF) team, the focus of your position will be on:

  • Improving the flowcytometry knowledge of the CFF users and the team;
  • Implementing spectral flowcytometry in the UMC Utrecht (introduction equipment, panel design and analysis, astrios implementation).

Shared tasks of our team are:

  • Introducing, training and supporting CFF-users in the facility and in flow cytometry;
  • Managing our ISO9001 certified facility and quality maintenance of instruments.

Hier ga je werken

The CTI concentrates top expertise in immunology in one department and conducts all research on immunological diseases at the UMC Utrecht. The CTI is part of the research theme “Infection and Immunity”, one of the six strategic research themes of the UMC Utrecht and harbors over 200 researchers supported by 6 core-facilities, including the CFF. The latter consists of 3 very motivated colleagues working in a dynamic working environment with an informal working atmosphere.

We pursue our vision “harnessing the immune system to cure infection, inflammatory disease and cancer” by excellent, internationally leading fundamental and translational immunology research, in close collaboration with clinicians of the UMC Utrecht. Our mission is to impact people’s lives by understanding the basis of life-long immune health, classifying, and monitoring inflammatory diseases and identifying their treatable traits.

Dit neem je mee

  • Has affinity with teaching theoretical knowledge transfer;
